save
lives,
alleviate
suffering
and
maintain
and
protect
human
dignity
during
and
in
the
aftermath
of
emergencies.Pakistan
is
facing
many
humanitarian
crises
at
once.
Approximately
one
million
undocumented
Afghans
in
Pakistan
in
which
64
percent
refugees
are
children,
youth
and
their
second
or
third
generation
born
in
Pakistan.
Pakistan
constitutes
the
world’s
largest protracted refugee situation.
More
than
5
million
people
have
been
displaced
from
FATA
and
Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa
(KP).
These
women,
men,
girls
and
boys
fled
their
homes
to
escape
insecurity
and
sectarian
violence,
between
the
government
and militant groups.
Pakistan
commonly
face
different
types
of
natural
disasters
too,
these
included
avalanches,
cold
waves,
cyclones,
droughts,
earthquakes,
floods, heat waves, rains, snowfall and a storms.
We
focus
on
small
scale
relief
operations
and
a
Community
Based
Disaster
Risk
Management
(CBDRM)
trainings.
We
trained
the
community
volunteers
to
utilize
local
resources
to
respond
and
manage
local
disaster
situations.
We
empowering
them
with
basic
technical
knowledge required to respond, survive and recover from disasters.
